Experts from refrigeration and air conditioning sector and institute of architectural design and research, executives from Danfoss and SMARDT, TICA Chairman Jiang Li, and other TICA executives attended the ceremony.

In September 2020, China announced to the world that China aims to bring its total greenhouse gas emissions to a peak by 2030, and be carbon neutral by 2060.

Qi Jiachong, Senior Sales Director of TICA domestic trade center interpreted the four major strategies of TICA, and introduced the world's first VTX OFC water cooled chiller. He said that, clean energy development and utilization, as well as energy conservation and emission reduction have become significant issues that are crucial to livelihood of the population and the international reputation of a country. The world's first VTX OFC water cooled chiller released by TICA this time boasts a COP of up to 6.83, IPLV of up to 11.86. In other words, compared with units that comply with national grade-1 energy efficiency, TICA's chiller can save power consumption of 260,000KW.h every year, 104 tons of standard coal, and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 259 tons. When being used in the Huafu Jinsha project, the VTX OFC water cooled chiller can increase SCOP from 3.5~4.0 to 6.5~7.0, achieving a power consumption reduction of 50%~60% for the entire equipment room, and 40% for the whole building.

Qi Jiachong expressed sincere appreciation to all industry leaders and partners who attend the unveiling ceremony, and emphasized the importance of the unveiling ceremony in the development and application of OFC technologies in the air conditioning industry, which is also a milestone that marks the cooperation among SMARDT, Danfoss and TICA.

SMARDT Chairman Roger Richmond-Smith said that the unveiling ceremony of the world's first VTX OFC water cooled chiller of TICA is really inspiring. As the inventor of OFC compressor and a leading brand of the global OFC industry, SMARDT grasps the cutting-edge OFC compressor control technology, and can provide the broadest product range of oil-free centrifugal chillers. Over 9000 units have been deployed, saving up to 60% power consumption for customers, and brining the central air conditioning solutions with the real lower cost throughout the full lifecycle.

Li Jiang, Chairman of China Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Industry Association and President of Hefei General Electrical and Mechanical Product Testing Institute appreciated TICA's development strategy of striving for lower cost throughout the full lifecycle. For the Guangzhou Metro efficient equipment room project in 2018, TICA increased the SCOP from the national average level of 3.0~3.5 to 6.0, being the first in China and achieving the international advanced level. This time, for the Huafu Jinsha project that adopts the world's first VTX OFC water cooled chiller, test data indicate that the energy efficiency is far superior to national standard.

The SMARDT V-Class OFC water cooled chiller equipped with the latest Danfoss VTX OFC will be applied in the efficient equipment room of Huafu Jinsha Mingcheng project in Chengdu, making the Huafu Jinsha project the first commercial application of VTX compressor in the world. Representative of the Huafu Jinsha Mingcheng project in Chengdu said that, the adoption of VTX OFC water cooled chiller is based on the trust in TICA and the technical team, as well as the efficiency and energy saving SMARDT OFC unit that features lower cost throughout the full lifecycle. It is expected that this project can become another benchmark of efficient equipment room in China.
